Abstract
THE SEATTLE LAW ENFORCEMENT CODE OF ETHICS AND THE OATH OF OFFICE FOR A POLICE OFFICER BEGIN THE MANUAL; POWERS OF THE MAYOR AND CHIEF OF POLICE ARE ALSO CITED. THE CHAIN OF COMMAND, POWERS OF POLICE CADETS, POLICE RESERVES, AND SPECIAL POLICE COMMISSIONS ARE ALSO DISCUSSED. DIVISIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT INCLUDE: CHIEF OF POLICE (POLICE LEGAL ADVISOR); ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES (PERSONNEL AND TRAINING DIVISIONS); INVESTIGATIONS (JUVENILE AND CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS DIVISIONS); OPERATIONS (PATROL AND TRAFFIC DIVISIONS); AND TECHNICAL SERVICES (LABORATORY AND JAIL DIVISIONS), PERSONNEL REGULATIONS ARE DISCUSSED FOR WORK EVALUATION AND ASSIGNMENT, ABSENCE AND SICKNESS, INJURY WHILE ON DUTY, FURLOUGH, AND JOB TERMINATION.
