Abstract
THE SPEAKER RECOMMENDED AN ALARM SYSTEM WITH LISTENING-IN CAPABILITIES THAT IS MONITORED BY THE ALARM COMPANY. DIGITAL ALARMS WERE DISCUSSED AND NOT RECOMMENDED. PROCEDURES DESIGNED TO MINIMIZE THE EXCITEMENT AND LOST TIME INVOLVED WITH BOMB THREATS WERE RECOMMENDED. MOST OF THIS INFORMATION WAS ELICITED THROUGH QUESTION AND ANSWER DISCUSSION. OTHER SEGMENTS COVERED THE FUNCTIONS OF SCHOOL RESOURCE PERSONS (SECURITY OFFICERS). AS TO THE LIVE-IN PERSON ON SCHOOL, THEY ARE RECOMMENDED HIGHLY. THE MOST DESIREABLE PERSON FOR THIS POSITION IS THE HEAD CUSTODIAL OFFICER.
