PRESENTS ACTIVITIES AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN THE AREAS OF RESEARCH, DEMONSTRATION PROJECTS, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, AND ISSUES OF PROJECT ADMINISTRATION.
Abstract
RESEARCH TO PRODUCE A USEFUL TOOL FOR PREDICTING 'FAILURE RISK' OF ADULT MALE PROBATIONERS, RESEARCH TO DETERMINE THE INTERRELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SOCIAL INDICATORS AND SPECIFIC CRIME RATES, AND THE DEVELOPMENT AND TESTING OF A COMPUTERIZED LATENT FINGERPRINT FILE AND SEARCH SYSTEM ARE AMONG THE RESEARCH PROJECTS SUMMARIZED. DEMONSTRATION PROJECTS DESCRIBED INCLUDE A JAIL POPULATION MANAGEMENT PROGRAM, A DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT PROJECT, ALCOHOL DETOXIFICATION PROJECT, AND A CENTER FOR URBAN ANALYSIS, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED TO VARIOUS GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, ACADEMIC INSTITUTIONS, AND COMMUNITY GROUPS. MATTERS AFFECTING THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE PROJECT ARE CONSIDERED.
