STUDY RESULTS CONCERNING THE EXTENT, NATURE, AND REACTION TO BEHAVIORALLY ORIENTED COURSE WORK AT THE GRADUATE LEVEL IN SCHOOLS OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS AND ADMINISTRATION.
Abstract
THE RESPONSE INDICATES THAT OFFERING ONE OR MORE GENERALTHEORETICAL COURSES DEALING WITH HUMAN BEHAVIOR IN ORGANIZATIONS IS WIDELY ACCEPTED. GOING BEYOND THE DESCRIPTIVE LEVEL AND PROVIDING EXPERIENCES IN ACTION APPLICATIONS AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS IS CONSIDERABLY LESS FREQUENT. GIVEN THE CURRENT TRENDS, THERE IS REASON TO BELIEVE THAT THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THOSE ENGAGED IN THE MANAGEMENT OF ALL FORMS OF PUBLIC ORGANIZATION WILL SOON LARGELY CENTER ON 'SOCIAL SYSTEMS ENGINEERING'.
