Government agencies employed in the task of combatting terrorism tend to be fragmented and even rivals which results in greatly reduced efficiency.
Abstract
France has been especially unable to coordinate intelligence, investigation, and law enforcement into an effective program. The British created a new committee called TIGER (Terrorist Intelligence Gathering, Evaluation and Research) to help combat their problem, although other groups are critical of this group. The United States, considered a prime target by some terrorist groups, must assemble its own antiterrorist operation that will not exhibit excessive internal or external friction. 1 Note.
