Abstract
THE BASIC PROBLEMS AND PROCEDURES OF THE THERAPEUTIC MODEL AS COMPARED TO THOSE OF CRIMINAL INCARCERATION ARE DISCUSSED IN DETAIL. ALSO EXPLORED IS THE INTERPLAY BETWEEN THE CRIMINAL-CORRECTIONAL PROCESS AND THE CIVIL COMMITMENT SYSTEMS OF THE THERAPEUTIC STATE.
