The Protocol supplements the United Nations Convention Against Transnational Organized Crime. The various articles of the Convention concern purposes; scope of application; definitions; obligation to criminalize; assistance for and protection of victims of trafficking in persons; status of the victim in the receiving State; seizure and confiscation of gains; repatriation of victims of trafficking in persons; law enforcement measures; border measures; international travel documents; prevention of trafficking in persons; cooperation with non-States Parties; savings clause; other provisions; settlement of disputes; signature, ratification, acceptance, approval, accession, and reservations; entry into force; amendment; denunciation; and languages and depositary. Notes
