This review of polygraph case law for the period 1992- 1993 summarizes only those portions of the appeal and decision that apply to polygraph issues.
Abstract
In Federal cases, judges found no abuse in discretion on the part of a trial judge that held results of an ex parte polygraph examination to be inadmissible, granted summary judgement to a police officer who sued on the grounds that he was dismissed for refusing to take a polygraph, and refused a prisoner's claim of habeas corpus based on the prosecutor's question to a defense witness regarding his failure to pass a polygraph. State courts ruled on polygraph cases in California, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Virginia.
