STATISTICAL REPORT ON SENSITIVITY TESTS GIVEN TO FRENCH JUVENILE DELINQUENTS AND NONDELINQUENTS, WITH DESCRIPTION AND PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE APPARTUS USED.
Abstract
IN TESTING SENSITIVITY, ONE FINDS THAT ONE IS ALSO EXPLORING SUCH MATTERS AS ATTENTION, APPREHENSION, FATIGUE AND PUSILLANIMITY. IT IS DIFFICULT TO KEEP THESE VARIABLES FROM AFFECTING THE RESULTS. IN TESTS INVOLVING PAIN, SOME REPORTED PAINFUL SENSATIONS IN THE MINIMUM RANGE OF THE APPARATUS WHILE OTHERS FOUND THE MAXIMUM RANGE OF IT ENDURABLE. COMPARISON OF THE RESULTS OBTAINED FOR DELINQUENT AND NORMAL GROUPS SHOULD INDICATE WHETHER THIS STUDY IS OF ANY VALUE IN REGARD TO ADDING TO OUR COMPREHENSION OF THE PERSONALITIES OF DELINQUENTS. --IN FRENCH
