Research report summaries and research communication summaries are presented from the National Research Institute of Legal Policy in Helsinki.
Abstract
The National Research Institute of Legal Policy under the Finnish Ministry of Justice is divided into two divisions: the Criminological Unit and the General Unit. In conducting research on crime, criminality, and the functioning of the criminal justice system, six research report summaries from the Criminological Unit are presented in the areas of marital properties, delinquent behavior, legislative issues, crime trends in Finland, juvenile punishment, and young men’s multicultural life course and criminality. Six research summaries on evaluative studies are presented from the General Unit in the area of legal policy and include: self-reported delinquency, debt adjustments in court, offending patterns of children, sanctioning of aggravated narcotics offenses, households’ payment problems, and the regulation of business.
