Abstract
This brochure from the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance presents information on the Regional Information Sharing Systems (RISS) program. RISS is a nationwide information sharing program that supports local, State, Federal, and tribal law enforcement agencies across the Nation in their efforts to combat illegal drug trafficking, organized criminal activity, criminal gangs, violent crime, human trafficking, identity theft, terrorist activity, and other criminal activity and to promote officer safety. The program consists of six regional centers and a technology center. Information in this brochure includes a description of RISS investigative services that include information sharing, analytical support, training and conferences, confidential funds, and equipment loans. Additional information is provided on RISS initiatives and programs, that include RISSIntel databases, RISSafe, RISSGang database, and RISSNET. Contact information is provided on the six RISS regional centers.
