The activities and relevant data of the Queensland Police Department (Australia) are reported for the year ending June 30, 1981.
Abstract
The report contains information about important visits, planning for the Commonwealth games, traffic control and enforcement, police administration and training, and crimes committed (offenses against property and persons, by children, and involving drug and fraud). Also reported are department objectives for 1981-82, aboriginal and industrial relations, awards, regional highlights, and the 50th anniversary of policewomen in Queensland. During the year, a new youth club was opened, a computer course was initiated for fraud investigators, and arrangements were made with the local media to cover terrorist incidents. Photographs are included. Graphs, maps, and statistical tables are appended.
