A large study has been initiated to obtain insight into the procedures for handling major fraud cases in the Netherlands.
Abstract
All major fraud cases registered at the Gerechhoven, the institution equivalent to the Courts of Appeal, in 1987 and 1990 are under study. The analysis involves 46 cases of major fraud involving a total of 750 suspects. This paper outlines the study in detail and presents some preliminary results.
