REPORT ON EXPERIENCES WITH PSYCHOANALYTICALLY ORIENTED INDIVIDUAL THERAPY CARRIED OUT WITH INMATES OVER A PERIOD OF TWO AND A HALF YEARS IN AN INSTITUTION ESPECIALLY DEVISED FOR SOCIAL THERAPY.
Abstract
DESCRIBED IS THE WAY IN WHICH TECHNIQUES HAVE GRADUALLY ADJUSTED TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE SPECIAL THERAPEUTIC SITUATION AND TO THE SPECIAL NEEDS OF THEIR CLIENTELE. DISCUSSED ARE PROBLEMS OF DIAGNOSIS, SELECTION AND MOTIVATION OF THE PATIENTS, THE DIFFICULTIES ARISING OUT OF THE NECESSARY SEPARATION OF THERAPY AND WELFARE APPROACHES, AS WELL AS THE POINTS AT WHICH THE PERSONNEL OF THE INSTITUTION INTERFERED WITH THE WORK.
