This article surveys recent trends in areas of the law in which there have been significant developments related to white-collar crime.
Abstract
The article focuses on fifth amendment limitations on compelled production or evidence, administrative summons, subpoenas, discovery, parallel civil and criminal lawsuits, immunity, multiple representation, and sentencing. Specific types of white-collar crime covered in the article include mail and wire fraud, false statements, illegal activities and crimes covered by the Travel Act and the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, embezzlement, extortion, bribery, tax fraud, securities fraud, and antitrust violations. 502 footnotes
