Abstract
THE FULL SERVICE MODEL CONSTITUTES AN APPROACH TO ANY WORK DONE WITHIN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND IS, THEREFORE, APPLICABLE TO WHATEVER FUNCTION ONE PERFORMS AT ANY LEVEL OF THE ORGANIZATION. PROVISIONS IN THE PLAN FOR RECRUITING, TRAINING, EVALUATING, AND REWARDING PERSONNEL ARE DISCUSSED. APPENDED INFORMATION INCLUDES A SAMPLE DEPARTMENT-WIDE IMPLEMENTATION PLAN FOR THE FULL SERVICE MODEL AND A DESCRIPTION OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE TRAINING PHASE OF THE PLAN.
