The cassettes and booklet cover basic principles of Spanish pronunciation and grammar, common greetings, numbers and measurements, weights and measures, personal relationships and descriptions, and medical information and first aid. Spanish terms for the house, household appliances, and other possessions; fires and fire prevention; slang in narcotics traffic; legal phrases; and basic informational questions are also provided. A final section presents Spanish translations for police reports, including arrest reports, prebooking information, auto theft, battery and assault, burglary, requests to submit to an alcoholic content test, and missing persons reports. Most sections contain questions and answers in Spanish and English. A vocabulary list is included. Illustrations enhance the text.
