Abstract

This podcast, part of the Comprehensive Opioid Abuse Program (or “COAP”) podcast series, features representatives working at the county level who share their programs’ stories and strategies. These representatives include Stephanie Stout, Recovery Network coordinator, and Raj Masih, researcher, from the Berkeley County Resource Center (West Virginia); Debbie Reuber, public health educator at the Kenosha County Division of Health, from the Kenosha County Opioid Initiative (Wisconsin); Scott Duff, Director of the Fairfield County Overdose Response Team (Ohio); and Monica Greer, Director, and Kelly Gunn, Quick Response Team coordinator, from the Hamilton County Council on Alcohol and Other Drugs (Indiana). Each representative provides an overview of his or her program and the different ways that the grantees are creatively addressing the opioid crisis, including leveraging the power of peers and peer recovery support services. The podcast is facilitated by Sade Richardson, M.P.H., LLMSW, COSSAP training and technical assistance provider from Altarum.
