THE POSSIBILITY THAT TERRORIST GROUPS, CRIMINALS, OR EVEN DISGRUNTLED INDIVIDUALS COULD DESIGN AND PRODUCE A NUCLEAR WEAPON IS GREAT ENOUGH TO WARRANT SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS.
Abstract
INFORMATION ON NUCLEAR/BOMB -MAKING MAY BE FOUND IN MANY ENCYCLOPEDIAS AND OTHER SOURCES WELL WITHIN THE PUBLIC DOMAIN. SECURITY MEASURES FOR THE TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE OF FISSIONABLE MATERIALS ARE INADEQUATE. THE AUSTRALIAN URANIUM POLICY IS CRITICIZED AS THE AUTHOR PROPOSES THAT AUSTRALIA SHOULD SEEK OTHER SOURCES OF ENERGY AND AVOID THE USE OF FISSIONABLE MATERIALS IN ORDER TO DEAL WITH THE PROBLEM.
