Abstract
THE PLAN WAS DEVELOPED TO ASSESS THE PROGRAM'S ATTAINMENT OF CRIME REDUCTION GOALS, MONITOR PROGRESS OF INDIVIDUAL PROJECTS, MEASURE CHANGES IN THE CITY'S CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM WHICH MIGHT ALTER BASELINE ASSUMPTIONS, AND EVALUATE THE COST EFFECTIVENESS OF IMPACT PROJECTS. IT PROVIDES FOR EVALUATION OF THE PROJECT IN TERMS OF CRIME REDUCTION GOALS AND PROJECT OBJECTIVES AS WELL AS FOR ESTABLISHING AN IMPACT STATISTICAL AND MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM. APPENDIXES CONTAIN EVALUATION DESIGNS FOR INDIVIDUAL PROJECTS. FOR THE FIRST EDITION OF THIS PLAN, SEE NCJ-36613.
