PARTICIPANTS IN THE MULTISESSION CONFERENCE INCLUDED THE DIRECTOR OF PROBATION AND PAROLE IN THE NETHERLANDS, THE DIRECTOR OF WEST GERMANY'S YOUTH PRISON, THE DIRECTOR OF CRIMINOLOGICAL RESEARCH AT ENGLAND'S KEELE UNIVERSITY, AND REPRESENTATIVES OF ISRAEL'S PRISONS SERVICE, INSTITUTES OF CRIMINOLOGY, MINISTRY OF SOCIAL WELFARE, MINISTRY OF JUSTICE, SOCIETIES FOR THE REHABILITATION OF PRISONERS, NATIONAL POLICE, AND RELEASE BOARD. FOLLOWING INTRODUCTORY ADDRESSES, THE DEVELOPMENT IN ISRAEL OF A CONSOLIDATED, CENTRALIZED PAROLE SERVICE THE SELECTION OF PAROLE CANDIDATES, THE DESIGNATION AND ROLE OF AN IMPLEMENTING BODY RESPONSIBLE FOR PAROLE SERVICES, THE AIMS AND MEANS OF SUCH A SERVICE, THE SOCIAL CLIMATE WITHIN WHICH IT WOULD OPERATE, AND THE POSTIMPLEMENTATION EVALUATION OF SYSTEM EFFECTIVENESS.
