Abstract
ORGANIZATIONAL PRESSURES ON THE NEED FOR INTELLIGENCE ABOUT CRIMINAL GROUPS WITHIN THE SOCIETY ARE ANALYZED. THE DIFFICULTIES WITH WHICH THE INTELLIGENCE-GATHERING PROCESS IS ENCUMBERED ARE EXAMINED. INNOVATIVE PROCEDURES AND ADAPTATIONS POLICE USE TO ANTICIPATE AND MANAGE FUTURE DEMANDS ON THEIR DEPARTMENT ARE OUTLINED.
