Abstract
THE FIVE COURSE PROGRAMS AT BRAMSHILL (SPECIAL, INSPECTOR'S, OVERSEAS COMMAND, INTERMEDIATE COMMAND, AND SENIOR COMMAND COURSES) ARE BRIEFLY DESCRIBED. THE CONTROL OVER THE POLICE SERVICE IS EXERTED BY THE CHIEF CONSTABLE, LOCAL AUTHORITIES, AND THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT.
