Discussions with 410 police managers from 269 police agencies were utilized to identify 6 types of police employees.
Abstract
These types were distinguished by work-related attitudes, competence, and motivation. The Hershey and Blanchard situational leadership model was used to identify the most appropriate managerial style for each employee type. (Author abstract)
