Abstract
THE FIRST PART OF THIS PREPARATORY MANUAL IS ORGANIZED BY THE TYPE OF QUESTION. QUESTION TYPES INCLUDE ARITHMETIC, ALPHABETICAL PROGRESSIONS, PROBLEMS IN NUMBER SERIES, GEOMETRICAL FORM-MATCHING, PATTERN ANALYSIS, INTELLIGENCE DETERMINING QUESTIONS, READING COMPREHENSION AND JUDGMENT, AND MEMORY AND OBSERVATION QUESTIONS. THESE TESTS ARE PRECEDED BY THE COMPILER'S EXPLANATION OF THE RATIONALE FOR EACH PARTICULAR TYPE OF QUESTION. THE SECOND PART CONTAINS FOUR COMPLETE SAMPLE POLICE OFFICER TESTS. EACH OF THESE TESTS DEMONSTRATES THE USE OF THE VARIOUS QUESTION TYPES IN AN ACTUAL TEST FORMAT. THE MEMORY AND OBSERVATION SECTION ON THE COMPLETE TEST HAS QUESTIONS BASED ON THE APPLICANT'S ABILITY TO MEMORIZE MUG SHOTS AND CAPSULE DESCRIPTIONS. EACH TEST COMES COMPLETE WITH ANSWERS SO THE USER OF THE BOOK CAN MEASURE HIS OWN APTITUDE AND IMPROVEMENT.
