THE IMPORTANCE AND VALUE OF CRISIS INTERVENTION TRAINING FOR POLICE IS EMPHASIZED. THE ARTICLE INCLUDES A LIST OF THIRD PARTY INTERVENTION TECHNIQUES AND EIGHT STEPS TO BE TAKEN IN DETERMINING REFERRAL ACTION.
