Abstract
PROTECTING HOMES AND BUSINESSES AND CURBING CRIMES AGAINST PERSONS ARE THE AREAS DISCUSSED IN TERMS OF PREVENTIVE AND SELF DEFENSE PROGRAMS. THE ESTABLISHMENT OF COMMUNITY GROUPS TO SPONSOR AND IMPLEMENT EDUCATION AND ACTION PROGRAMS IS ENCOURAGED. SAMPLES OF PAMPHLET CONTENTS AND ILLUSTRATIONS GIVING GUIDANCE FOR PROPERTY PROTECTION AND PERSONAL SELF DEFENSE ARE INCLUDED. CASE STUDIES OF PREVENTION PROGRAMS ORIENTED TOWARD SPECIFIC CRIMES SUCH AS BICYCLE THEFT AND RAPE ARE DESCRIBED.
