PROGRAM DESIGN FOR A COMMUNITY BASED RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT AND ACTION PROGRAM IN CRIMINAL JUSTICE PROBLEMS.
Abstract
THE MAJOR PAPER IN THIS REPORT WAS PREPARED BY THE PROJECT DIRECTOR OF THE SANTA CLARA CRIMINAL JUSTICE PILOT PROGRAM. THE AUTHOR INTRODUCES THE PILOT CITIES PROGRAM, TRACES ITS DEVELOPMENT AS A LEAA INNOVATION, AND PLACES IT IN PRESPECTIVE WITH CURRENT PARALLEL PROGRAMS IN PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTORS. THE REPORT ALSO PRESENTS BRIEF SUMMARIES OF FOUR PAPERS BY EXPERIENCED PILOT PROJECT DIRECTORS, EACH OF WHOM DESCRIBES HIS RESEARCH AND PROJECT EFFORTS AND DEVELOPS A THEME IS A CHANGE PROGRESS. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON FIVE OF THE PILOT CITIES PROJECTS IS PROVIDED IN AN ATTACHMENT TO THE REPORT.
