Abstract
The paper includes brief abstracts of seven articles concerning various aspects of policing: (1) Voluntary Turnover of Field Operations Officers: A Test of Confluence Theory; (2) Did You Call the Police? What Did They Do? An Empirical Assessment of Black’s Theory of Mobilization of Law; (3) Citizens’ Perceptions of Police Misconduct: Race and Neighborhood Context; (4) Predictors of the Police Use of Force: The Application of a Continuum Perspective; (5) The Domestic Violence Arrest Decision: Examining Demographic, Attitudinal, and Situational Variables; (6) The Efficacy of Expectancy Disconfirmation in Explaining Crime Victim Satisfaction with the Police; and (7) Victim Assessment of the Police Response to Burglary: The Relative Effects of Incident, Police Action, Outcome & Demographic Variables on Citizen Satisfaction. The articles were taken from Journal of Criminal Justice (1999), Justice Quarterly (1999), Police Quarterly (1998) and Crime & Delinquency (2000).
