Abstract
THE RESPONDENTS WERE QUESTIONED ABOUT THEIR PERCEPTIONS OF CRIME IN THEIR OWN NEIGHBORHOODS. THOSE SURVEYED WERE DIVIDED INTO RACE-SEX GROUPS AND ANSWERS WERE ANALYZED FROM THAT POINT OF VIEW. SOME OF THE QUESTIONS ASKED INVOLVED OPINIONS OF NEIGHBORS, NEIGHBORHOOD CONDITIONS, POLICE SERVICE, AND AMOUNT AND SERIOUSNESS OF CRIME.
