Abstract
THE AUTHOR DISTRIBUTED QUESTIONNAIRES TO MEMBERS OF EIGHT COMMUNITY GROUPS- FIREMEN, INMATES, COLLEGE STUDENTS, PROBATION AND PAROLE OFFICERS, HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS, JUNIOR COLLEGE STUDENTS, LAW ENFORCEMENT STUDENTS, AND POLICE OFFICERS. THE RESPONSES TO FIVE QUESTIONS DEALING WITH ATTITUDES TOWARD POLICE POWERS WERE COMPARED AND ANALYZED.
