In 1981-82, Ontario's Criminal Injuries Compensation Board (Canada) heard 980 applications for awards from crime victims, as against 985 the previous year. The total value of awards increased by 14 percent, from about $2,434,000 to about $2,780,000, while the average award rose by 8 percent.
Abstract
The report lists the number of applications by area and compares the number of applications made and their dispositions between 1978 and 1982. Each case heard by the board is summarized and the amount awarded is recorded (unless award was denied).
