This report describes the products and services of the U.S. Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention's (OJJDP's) National Training and Technical Assistance Center (NTTAC), as well as how to access its resources.
Abstract
The NTTAC, which was established in 1995 in Fairfax, Va., promotes best practices in juvenile justice training and technical assistance; enhances the ability of OJJDP's training and technical assistance network to meet the needs of the juvenile justice field; and fosters shared teaching and learning among OJJDP's training and technical assistance grantees and contractors. NTTAC products, which include a bimonthly newsletter, Fact Sheets, Bulletins, and a Web site, help providers stay current on the latest trends, technology, and initiatives in training and technical assistance. In addition to these resources, NTTAC also conducts ongoing needs assessments of the juvenile justice field; supports efforts to evaluate training and technical assistance delivery; generates searchable electronic directories of training and technical assistance providers and training events; distributes customized packages of training and technical assistance materials; and collects and provides access to the best training and technical assistance materials available. Users may call a toll-free number (800-830-4031) to speak with a resource facilitator about their needs.
