The first chapters explain OJP's mission and organization, the roles of its five bureaus (Bureau of Justice Assistance, Bureau of Justice Statistics, National Institute of Justice, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, and Office for Victims of Crime), and the OJP formula grant programs. Subsequent chapters discuss resources related to building strong communities, preventing violence against women, preventing and responding to youth violence, and encouraging innovation in corrections. Further chapters discuss resources related to breaking the cycle of drug use and crime, assisting crime victims, supporting law enforcement and enhancing public safety, promoting justice research and evaluation, countering terrorism and ensuring domestic preparedness, and enhancing technology's use in addressing crime. The final chapter discusses other resources, including the National Crime Prevention Council, Websites, and other Federal agencies.
