THE AUTHORS DISCUSS THE RHETORIC WHICH TIES PROMINENT INDIVIDUALS TO THE GOALS OF MINORITY HIRING. THEY CITE THE CIVIL RIGHTS ACT OF 1964, AS WELL AS OTHER COURT DECISIONS INVOLVING DISCRIMINATORY JOB REQUIREMENTS.
