Abstract
IT IS NOTED THAT PRIMARY EMPHASIS IN 1975 WAS GIVEN TO SPEEDY PROSECUTION AND CONVICTION OF THE REPEAT AND VIOLENT OFFENDER, AND PASSAGE OF AN ANTI-CRIME PACKAGE IN THE STATE LEGISLATURE. THE PROSECUTOR'S RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES, AND ACTIVITIES REGARDING SCREENING, COURT DIVERSION, THE GRAND JURY, TRIALS, PAROLES, AND APPEALS. ARE BRIEFLY OUTLINED. STATISTICS ARE PROVIDED ON DIVERSIONARY PROGRAMS, CONSUMER PROTECTION AND ECONOMIC CRIME CASES, JURY CONVICTIONS, ACQUITTALS, AND APPEALS.
