Abstract
NUMEROUS MISTAKES ARE MADE BY NETHERLANDS POLICEMEN IN CONNECTION WITH FINGERPRINTING. SOME OF THESE ARE THE FAILURE TO TAKE ANY PRINTS AT ALL IN THE CASE OF KNOWN REPEAT OFFENDERS, FAILURE TO FINGERPRINT WITNESSES AS WELL AS SUSPECTS, THE USE OF TOO MUCH OR TOO LITTLE INK, ETC. FINGERPRINTING REQUIREMENTS IN REGARD TO THOSE ARRESTED FOR SERIOUS OFFENSES ARE DIFFERENT FOR PERSONS OVER 40 AND PERSONS UNDER 40. --IN DUTCH
