Abstract
FOUR AREAS WERE STUDIED: THE FACT OF CRIME AND THE FEAR OF CRIME; THE COMMUNITY'S RESPONSE TO THE NEEDS OF ITS YOUTH; THE SCHOOL AS THE KEYSTONE TO DELINQUENCY PREVENTION; AND NEIGHBORHOOD REHABILITATION. UNDER FACT AND FEAR OF CRIME THERE ARE FOUR RECOMMENDATIONS; 20 RECOMMENDATIONS ARE INCLUDED IN THE COMMUNITY RESPONSE AREA. FOUR RECOMMENDATIONS ARE LISTED UNDER THE SCHOOL AS KEYSTONE, AND FOUR ARE LISTED UNDER NEIGHBORHOOD REHABILITATION. THESE RECOMMENDATIONS VARY FROM THE BETTER ORGANIZATION OF POLICE BEATS TO DEEPER COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT AND SELF-AWARENESS....BDS
