This is a comprehensive listing of sheriffs of the United States as well as the members of the staff and committees of the National Sheriffs' Association (NSA).
Abstract
For each State, the name of the sheriff of each county is listed, along with the address of the sheriff's office, its phone and fax numbers, and e-mail address. General information for each State encompasses the State capital; the number of counties; the length of the sheriff's term; the names and offices of the representatives to the NSA; and the State Sheriffs' Association's executive director, address, and phone and fax numbers. The NSA Headquarters staff listing is categorized by function and includes names, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses of each staff member. The address, phone and fax numbers, e-mail address, and web site location for the NSA are also provided. Name and city of residence are provided for the NSA Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and all past presidents. Name and city of residence are presented for each member of all NSA 1999 committees, followed by a listing and description of the functions of several Federal law enforcement agencies that deal with State and local law enforcement agencies. Also included are the Constitution and Bylaws of the NSA and the Code of Ethics of the Office of Sheriff. An advertisers' index is provided as well.
