This volume of the process evaluation final report of the Weed and Seed initiative presents case studies for each of the 19 program sites.
Abstract
The Weed and Seed programs attempt to eliminate violent crime and drug trafficking from high-risk neighborhoods, and fill the gap with a broad array of social services. The case studies presented here focus on details of the approaches taken by each of the demonstration sites as the Weed and Seed program was implemented and operated during its initial 18 months. Each case study includes an overview of the particular program, and focuses on weeding strategies, prosecution, community policing, and seeding strategies.
