TWENTY-ONE POLICE PATROL PROJECTS ACROSS THE COUNTRY ARE CLASSIFIED ACCORDING TO WHETHER THEY ARE LOW VISIBILITY, HIGH VISIBILITY, OR COMBINED HIGH/LOW VISIBILITY PATROLS AND THEN EACH IS DESCRIBED AND DISCUSSED SEPARATELY. THE ACTUAL INTERVENTIONS OF EACH PROJECT AND THE BASES FOR MEASURING POINTS OF ASSESSMENT DATA ARE PORTRAYED VIA FLOW DIAGRAMS. ALSO DISCUSSED ARE THE UNIVERSE OF SPECIALIZED PATROL PROJECTS, THE SAMPLING TECHNIQUES USED TO SELECT THE PROJECTS STUDIED, THE DATA COLLECTION METHODOLOGIES, AND THE METHODS USED IN ANALYZING AND DESCRIBING THE RELEVANT ACTIVITIES OF SELECTED PROJECTS. THE QUESTIONNAIRE USED IN THIS PATROL SURVEY IS INCLUDED AT THE END OF THE REPORT.
