THE FIRST, A STUDY OF SEVEN LOCAL PROSECUTORS' OFFICES, INCLUDES DATA ON BUDGET, OPERATIONAL ENVIRONMENT, POPULATION DIVERSITY AND WORK LOAD, AND CONCLUSIONS BASED ON THESE FIGURES AND OBSERVATIONS. THE SECOND, A QUESTIONNAIRE SURVEY OF PROSECUTORS' OFFICES NATIONWIDE, IS PRESENTED IN DETAIL. FINDINGS ON WORKING CONDITIONS, STAFF, SALARIES, INTERACTION WITH OTHERS IN THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM, AND OTHER ASPECTS OF THE PROSECUTION FUNCTION ARE PRESENTED WITH ALL SUPPORTING DATA.
