SUCH REHABILITATIVE PROCEDURES ARE KNOWN AS BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION TECHNIQUES AND ARE CONCERNED WITH THE MANIPULATION OF THOSE VARIABLES WHICH LEAD TO THE ELIMINATION OF MALADAPTIVE BEHAVIORS AND OR THE GENERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF ADAPTIVE, PRO-SOCIAL BEHAVIORS.
