Abstract
THE MODEL RULES SEEK TO SAFEGUARD THE PRIVACY OF INDIVIDUAL CITIZENS AND, AT THE SAME TIME, PROVIDE FOR ESSENTIAL LAW ENFORCEMENT INFORMATIONAL NEEDS. PROPOSALS ARE PROVIDED FOR INSPECTION BY THE SUBJECT OF A RECORD, RELEASE TO RESEARCHERS, RELEASE OF JUVENILE RECORDS, DESTRUCTION OR SEALING OF RECORDS, AND CLOSING OF RECORDS. COMMENTARY IS INCLUDED FOR MODEL RULES.
