Abstract
Major subject categories include criminal homicide; assault, reckless endangering, and threats; kidnapping and related offenses and coercion; and sexual offenses. Each major subject category is further divided according to more specific offense categories. For example, sexual offenses covered include rape and related offenses, deviate sexual intercourse by force or imposition, corruption of minors and seduction, sexual assault, indecent exposure, and adultery and fornication. Commentaries following each statement of law explain complex issues related to the law, the reasoning involved in establishing the law, the common law background and antecedent statutory variations or legislation, and definitions. Abbreviations used for criminal codes are given, and footnotes are supplied.
