EVALUATION OF A SYSTEM DESIGNED TO ALLOCATE PAROLE SERVICE TIME WITHIN AND BETWEEN CASELOADS ON THE BASIS OF CASE NEEDS, IN CALIFORNIA'S BAKERSFIELD PAROLE UNIT.
Abstract
SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS ARE PRESENTED, OUTLINING THE PURPOSE OF THE WORKLOAD SYSTEM, ITS NATURE AND APPLICATION WITHIN THE BAKERSFIELD PAROLE UNIT, AND GENERAL PROJECT FINDINGS IN TERMS OF BASIC RESEARCH OBJECTIVES. A PROJECT INTRODUCTION IS FOLLOWED BY A DISCUSSION ON EVALUATION PURPOSE AND PROCEDURES. THE STUDY POPULATION AND DATA COLLECTION ARE DESCRIBED AND THE FINDINGS ARE THEN EXAMINED IN DETAIL. COMMENTS ARE MADE ON THE GENERAL APPLICABILITY OF THE WORKLOAD STANDARDS. RECOMMENDATIONS ARE MADE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AN OVERALL PAROLE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM. THE APPENDIX CONTAINS EXAMPLES OF THE WORKLOAD FORMS, TIME SHEETS, QUESTIONNAIRES, AND TABLES.
