The purpose of this article is to review the origin and development of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-Based Criminal Classification System and to evaluate critically the most recent literature with regard to the system's reliability (including interrater, test-retest, and replicability), validity, and practical utility (including the characteristics and institutional adjustments of the groups and the prevalence of use of the system).
Abstract
