This study examined methods to separate duct tape.
Abstract
An experiment was designed to evaluate two things: (1) the different methods of separating duct tape from itself and (2) what effect, if any, the separating method had on the capability to recover latent prints from the adhesive side of the tape. The results showed that although several products assisted in the separation of the tape, the best overall results for obtaining latent prints were achieved with manual separation.
