This report highlights the activities of the Mesa (Arizona) Police Department in 1993.
Abstract
The report summarizes the operations of the Office of the Chief of Police, Administrative Services, Community Policing, Patrol Operations, Criminal Investigations, and Technical Services, and provides a section on departmental financial, personnel, and crime statistics. During the reporting period, the department gained accreditation, established a full-time and full-service Aviation Support Unit, and expanded its commitment to community policing and participation in programs including bike patrol, the Citizens Police Academy, and Project DARE. In addition, the department established the Victim Assistance and Crime Free Multi- Housing programs, and stepped up efforts to reduce the incidence of drunk driving.
