The activities and accomplishments of the Maryland Juvenile Services Administration for fiscal year 1980 are presented.
Abstract
During the year, Maryland Juvenile Services continued to enhance the quality of its fundamental components of delinquency prevention, court, community, and institutional services. The administration conducted an indepth study of intake screening decisionmaking and completed an investigation of the use of its group home resources in order to develop and maintain appropriate placements in the community. A management plan to provide assistance in determining more efficient distribution of line staff was also developed. Activities of juvenile court services, community services, and institutional services are highlighted, and statistics are given for each of these services. Tables and charts are provided.
